The Judgement: The Worth Of The Lead

The Judgement: The Worth Of The Lead
‭2 Samuel 24:15 KJV‬
[15] So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beer-sheba seventy thousand men.

When there's poor leadership, the people suffer. When leadership breaks the covenant the consequences are deeper. We've already seen this in the story of David. Now seventy thousand men died because one leader crossed the line into sin. Are there things youre doing that has crossed the covenant line? The question that David asked God in verse 17 is very pertinent. " ...Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done?" A great number of leaders have asked this rhetorical questions silently. The simple answer is that the impact of a leader's sin is very great.Francis Frangipane says it brings on transfered guilt. " When church leaders serve the living Christ in love, aggressive faith, and prayerful humility, the people who live under their anointing become rich in the presence of God. Conversely, when a leader blatantly sins or is led into deception, the heartache of his downfall is absorbed into the spirits of those following him". Pause and read that again. In 2014, Changefactory published on the Seven Deadly Sins of A leader. These they enumarated as: Passivenes, Unaccountability, Thoughtlessness, Affectation, Greed Laziness and Inconsistency. They were not writing a Bible study. They were just stating the worth of leadership. Your leadership is an opportunity. It is worth more than gold. Dont bring death to your people David repented and the destroying angel stopped at the thresing floor of Arunah, the Jebusite. Thank you Lord for stopping the enemy. Thank you for the Name of Jesus. It is by God's mercies that we are not consumed. Now, go back to God. Good morning.
