Question: What Is The Difference Between An Emotional Affair And A Physical Affair?
The traditional definition of cheating is that one person in a committed relationship is physically involved with someone other than his/her spouse. In recent years, cheating has been reclassified to include not only the physical affair but, also, the emotional affair.
Answer:
An emotional affair is defined as any infidelity that occurs through feeling or thought. With the technological development of cell phones and the internet, the definition of cheating has been expanded to include the traditional definition, plus the feelings and/or thoughts that comprise emotional infidelity. Cheating now includes having intimate correspondence with someone while on a cell phone, meeting someone over the Internet and maintaining a close, personal relationship with someone other than your spouse.
The difference between a physical affair and an emotional affair.
The primary difference between a physical affair and an emotional affair is actual, physical contact. Usually, cheating involves people meeting face – to - face, and then engaging in physical intimacy. With an emotional affair, there may be a meeting, but it can occur on a cell phone or a computer and there is no physical intimacy. Many of the people who are emotionally cheating don’t consider it to be infidelity. Their thinking is that, because there is no actual physical contact, the behavior can’t be considered cheating.
The end result is that the unfaithful spouse is paying more emotional attention to someone other than their partner, and they are removing themselves from the commitment they made to their marriage.
An emotional affair can lead to a physical affair.
An emotional affair begins with the exchange of personal information. As the people involved get acquainted, the information becomes more personal. Some argue that an emotional affair is harmless because it is more of a casual relationship than traditional cheating; however, the intimate nature of the communication, plus the emotional investment made by the people involved, places an emotional affair on the same level or worse as traditional cheating.
It is much more dangerous for a marriage should your spouse connect with someone emotionally than physically. Anyone who finds himself or herself drawn to another person on an emotional level should consider the possible consequences of such an affair. Emotional affairs are just as likely to lead to divorce and physical affairs.
The danger of an emotional affair.
While it is healthy and normal for people to have friendships outside the marriage with men and women, an emotional affair threatens the emotional bond between spouses. Friendships are based on attraction, in that we are drawn to various qualities of our friends. Healthy friendships and attractions don't need to threaten a marriage at all, but add richness and enjoyment to life. When an attraction turns into an obsession or into an affair, it can become harmful to everyone involved and nothing is more harmful to a marriage than the breakdown of the emotional bond marital partners have for each other.

THE NEED TO WRITE

                                         By Rev.Simeon O. Afolabi

Introduction
While it may seem trite on the surface, a good way to examine our subject is to find out what makes people (want to) write. And in answering this you should not be surprised to get as many reasons as there are writers. From an online source the following reasons are supplied:
....To inform people about things
....To persuade people
....Because it is their job
....For money
....To become famous
....There is nothing else to do
....To become happier with themselves

....For personal enjoyment and the enjoyment of others
....Because they like it
....For a hobby
....To express themselves

....Because they are good at it
....To become a better writer
....To expand their imagination
....To use their imagination without feeling stupid
....Because there are no limits to writing
....So you can make up your mind
....To escape into another world

If this indeed represent the reasons why people write then writing cover from the absurd to the abstract, from the mundane to the fundamental. What can be said, however, is that every form of writing offers some aspect of the writer's world. It is impossible to totally separate a work from its author, since what you have on paper are thoughts, opinions, advises, and perhaps experiences.

The Need To Write (General)
Many of the reasons we saw in the list does not justify writing. So let us turn our attention to why there should be written works.
1. To fill historical void
It is often said that there are three sources of history. The first is oral tradition. This is what is passed from one generation to the other by words of mouth. Then we have archaeological discoveries. This is a way of piecing together information about the past by what has been unearthed. Finally we have the written records. Without written works there would be a big void in history.

2. To entertain
Have you ever picked up a material you read with relish? Do some work make you giggle, smile, or even roar in laughter? Yes, books are a vital source of entertainment. Actually, most plays and films are produced from story lines from one written work or another.

3. To educate
In more respect than one, knowledge is the light of life. To be without knowledge is to grope in the dark. We get enlightened through written works.

4. To offer solutions
Life is full of tasks and challenges. People want to know how to solve problems and move their life forward. This is where books that come in "How To" format are important.

5. To immortalize
There are works that have endured several millennia that are still being cited today in public discourse. It seems nothing immortalizes an individual better than writing. Someone has said that if you want to be remembered, write or do something that is worth writing about.

The Need To Write (Specific)
Viewed from the standpoint of Christianity, the need to write becomes heavier. Before going into this let us briefly consider cases where the writing mandate was given to some individuals in the Bible
....Moses was told to write. Exodus
 17:14
....Isaiah received the mandate to write. Isaiah 8:1
....God commanded Jeremiah to write. Jer. 30:2; 36:2
....Ezekiel wrote in
 obedience to God. Ezekiel 43:11
....
Habakkuk was told to document the vision. Hab. 2:1-2
....John severally got his order to write from the Lord. Rev. 1:11,19; 2:1,8,,12,18;
3:1,7,12,14;
 14:13; 19:9; 21:5.

Unlike in general writing where someone can come up with reasons that suits his or her fancy to write, the Christian writer should approach his work from a more sublime, noble perspective. The fact that God took time to instruct some people to write is a pointer to the fact that God considers it important. Christian writers should therefore see themselves engaged in divine enterprise.

Need For Christian Writings
1. Writing creates memorial. Exodus 17:14

2. Writing is for a witness. Exodus 34:27; Deuteronomy 31:9

3. Writings are a custodian of events, the building blocks of history.

4. Inspired writings often serve as blueprint

5. Writings convey joy. 1 John 1:4

6. Writings refreshes or reminds. 2 Peter 3:1

7. Writings can come handy as instruments of war. All Jesus needed to ward off Satan was the written word.

What To Write
1. Write on what you understand. Luke 1:1-3

2. Write what you have experienced. 1 John 1:1-4

3. Write the visions and revelations that God has given you. 2 Corinthians 12:1.
Roberts Liardon hit the world stage with his book, "I Saw Heaven".

Conclusion
Writing does not only serve to connect people (most of the writings of Paul were meant to connect him with the brethren), it also connect between generations. Writing is the bridge that connects the past with the present. And in some fundamental ways too, it is the compass that helps us navigate into the futu

Astrology and Gods view by David Young

Astrology and God's View of Astrology

Astrology and God's View of Astrology by Frankie Foxx on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 2:48pm

In 2003 a U.S. public opinion poll was taken regarding beliefs in astrology. Of those participating, 31%, or nearly 1 in 3 people, believed in the accura...cy of astrology- and among those aged 25 to 29 that  number rose to 46%, nearly 1 in 2. Belief by people over age 64 was only 17%, or about 1 in 6. These statistics clearly show how influential this saturation campaign has been in all levels of society in changing beliefs in just one generation.   I the United States and Canada, 1,800 newspapers print daily horoscopes. Twelve thousand Americans claim to be full-time astrologers, and another 200,000 work at it part-time. Author Linda Goodman' s two books on astrology have sold an incredible 60 million copies. The phenomenon of astrology is growing.    God's View of Astrology: Throughout history, man has searched the Heavens for answers to life's questions. And throughout history, God has condemned such practices.   The prophet Isaiah proclaimed, "Now let the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save you from these things that shall come upon you. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; there shall not be a coal to warm them; nor fire, to sit before it. Thus shall they be to you with whom you have labored, even your merchants from your youth. Each one shall wander to his own quarter; none shall save you" (Isaiah 47: 13-15).   As Isaiah explains, astrologers do not have the power to save anyone from troubles of death. Reading the stars and planets will not tell man what he needs to know. God Himself reveals what man needs to know, as  the biblical account of Daniel and his companions shows. "And in all matters of wisdom and understanding that the king asked them, he found them [Daniel and his friends] ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters who were in all his kingdom.... Daniel answered before the king and said, 'The secret with the king has demanded cannot be shown to the king by the wise men, the enchanters, the astrologers or the magicians. But there is a God in heaven Who reveals secrets and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days' " (Daniel 1: 20 and 2: 27-28).    Therefore, people who use astrology are using witchcraft. It makes no difference if is checking one's astrological "forecast" in the daily newspaper, making and using astrological charts, or consulting with astrologers. True Christians live by the Word of God and walk in faith, believing God the Father and Jesus Christ, and do not seek to know the future through astrology.

Men

According to Dave Barry, it is a documented fact that men will not ask for directions. This is a biological thing. This is why it takes several million sperm cells to locate a female egg, despite the fact that the egg is,relative to them, the size of Wisconsin
