The Divine Set-up

The Divine Set Up
II Kings 3:20, 22-23 NKJV
[20] Now it happened in the morning, when the grain offering was offered, that suddenly water came by way of Edom, and the land was filled with water.
...[22] Then they rose up early in the morning, and the sun was shining on the water; and the Moabites saw the water on the other side as red as blood. [23] And they said, “This is blood; the kings have surely struck swords and have killed one another; now therefore, Moab, to the spoil!”

Prophecies announce God's intentions, but God arranges the set-up for the fulfillment of the prophecies. The irony is that the set-up may not look like what was prophesied. Here is God arranging for the defeat of Moab through  perception. The same object meant to quench the thirst of the Kings is perceived as blood by the Moabites. It's the same object but different perceptions.
Wikipedia describes  perception as "... the organization, identification, and interpretation of sensory information in order to represent and understand the presented information or environment". It explains that " perception is not only the passive receipt of these signals, but it is also shaped by the recipient's learning, memory, expectation, and attention". It explains that sensory input is a process that transforms the low-level information to higher-level information (e.g., extracts shapes for object recognition). It submits that the " process connects a person's concepts and expectations (or knowledge) with restorative and selective mechanisms, such as attention, that influence perception". All that English is to explain the details God took to accomplish defeat for Moab. If God can change perceptions for two groups, He can change how you are perceived in your work, home or society. God has the power.
   R. K. Suri says that " Perception serves as a powerful lens through which we view the world, influencing not only how we interpret information but also our attitudes and beliefs which in turn drive our behavior towards others". So God changed their interpretation and brought victory to that battle . It's the same perception  that gave us Col. 2:15. They thought they were killing a prophet. They didn't know they killed the son who never dies. May your enemies misinterprete their strategy concerning you. May their labour fail in Jesus Name. Good morning.
