I Kings 17:24 NKJV

[24] Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is the truth.”

This is how Colin Peckham explains God's relationship to the Called. " It might well be said of the preacher's office, 'And no man taketh this honour unto Himself, but he that is called of God' (Heb. 5:4). We cannot elect ourselves to this holy task. No man may intrude into the ministry. If God wants you for His work, He will tell you personally. You will not have to guess, you will know, for He will speak clearly to your soul". There's a difference between your knowing and when others publicly acknowledge it. Theres a difference between your telling others who you are and their catching a revelation of the call on your life. Sometimes it will take an overt supernatural manifestation as it happened here to Elijah. The first supernatural supply came in the inexhaustible stretch of food. That didn't make much impact. When the widow's child died, her world collapsed. Bringing the child back to life confirmed that God was with Elijah. He wasnt just walking around to look for a free woman he can exploit.  He came with a call of God on his life. To the called, here are a few suggestions you may experience that will confirm the call of God for you.

* A contraint in the spirit in form of an 

   an inward compulsion to act.

*  The confirmation of the word of 

    God having a direct application to         

    your situation.

 * The ordering of life circumstances.    

     made clear by the Lord. 

* The burden of human needs( Mat.   

     9:36 )

 * Confirmations by other godly 

    people.

  * The manifestation of the 

     supernatural that glorifies God.

Even if Elijah doubted his call, Gid confirmed it by the bringing of the young man to kife. God will confirm your as well. Good morning.
